Services Provided

  • Initial Consultation

Our initial session is a comprehensive overview of your life, including your past treatments, with a focus on your present situation. By the end of the session we will clarify treatment goals and collaboratively set the foundation for a treatment plan. This session is 60 minutes.

  • Therapy

I offer a flexible and comprehensive approach to psychotherapy (also known as talk therapy). For some people, an open-ended and free flowing treatment is most appropriate. Others may benefit more from a more structured and time-limited approach. Together we decide which is best for you. For therapy, we typically meet weekly for 45 mintues per session.

  • Medication Treatment

When appropriate, I offer medication management services for all psychiatric conditions including depression, insomnia, OCD, psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, hoarding disorder, and various substance use disorders. I have particular expertise in anxiety disorders and PTSD. As a part of medication treatment, I communicate with other members of your care team, such as primary care doctors and therapists, to deliver highly coordinated care. Medication treatment can be either alone or in combination with therapy. Medication visits are typically 25 minutes, and the interval between appointments varies.

  • Grief

I have particular expertise in supporting those who are struggling to regain a sense of wellbeing and function following the death of a loved one. I was trained at the Columbia Center for Prolonged Grief to deliver a highly effective form of therapy for those who feel “stuck” in the grief process. I also help support people who are expeciting a loss or are in the immediate aftermath of a loss.

  • Insurance & Location

I am an out-of-network provider for all commercial insurance carriers. Insurances that include out of network benefits often reimburse 50-80% of fees. I work with patients and their insurance carriers to maximize insurance reimbursement for services.

I can see patients located in New York or Massachusetts via secure video or at my office location in Cambridge, MA (156 Mount Auburn Street).

  • A Note of Gratitude

Providing psychiatric care is a privilege. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all my teachers, family members, and patients (particularly those I saw while in training) who have made it possible for me to practice.
